ABP was founded in Düsseldorf, Germany by Dr. A. Weizendörfer in 1996.
Dr. Weizendörfer started the company with only 3 employees, however, the
situation changed rapidly, due to the military showing a lively interest
in Dr. Weizendörfer's work.
The whole range of ABP products proved to be and still proves to be very
reliable. Although the company had to withstand strong repression by the
military due to the risk of confidential technical documentation being
published, Dr. Weizendörfer only recently successfully fought through
his plan to make his appliances available to the public. In the aforementioned
contract the military granted Dr. Weizendörfer the right to make use of
the artificial body parts that have been developed during the last 7 years,
however, new inventions and prototypes remain property of the military
and may not be used publicly within a period of 5 years after completion
of the final product.
Ever since ABP started manufacturing body parts for private use, its reputation
is consolidated in the high quality of its products and the service the
company renders to its customers.
